The Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, through the Support for the Implementation of National Biosafety Framework for Lesotho, funded by United Nations Environment Programme – Global Environment Facility (UNEP/GEF) in collaboration with Berea Geography Association held national school competitions of biotechnology and biosafety. The districts represented included Thaba Tseka, Mafeteng, Mohale’s Hoek, Maseru, Berea and Leribe. The competitions conducted were of three categories, namely; DNA Models, Presentations and Quizes at both secondary and high school levels.
