Training of personnel on emergency response

23 – 26 May 2017, Blue Mountain Inn, Berea

The Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, through the Support for the Implementation of National Biosafety Framework for Lesotho, funded by United Nations Environment Programme – Global Environment Facility (UNEP/GEF) conducted training on emergency response in case of accidental release of genetically modified organisms with the aim to introduce participants with concepts associated with emergency response in case of intentional release of genetically modified organisms. The participants were from various institutions; Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Health, Disaster of Management Authority, Lesotho Revenue Authority (Customs) and Non-Governmental Organisation.
