Training of inspectors on LMO inspection activities

The Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, through the Support for the Implementation of National Biosafety Framework for Lesotho, funded by United Nations Environment Programme – Global Environment Facility (UNEP/GEF) conducted training on LMO inspection activities, with the aim to introduce participants to inspection associated with monitoring genetically modified organisms. The participants were from various institutions; Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Ministry of Health, Lesotho Revenue Authority, Lesotho Mounted Police Services and Non-Governmental Organisation.
