Lesotho National Biosafety Committee Study Tour to Republic of South Africa

16 – 19 October 2017, Pretoria, South Africa

The Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, through the Support for the Implementation of National Biosafety Framework for Lesotho, funded by United Nations Environment Programme – Global Environment Facility (UNEP/GEF) undertook a study tour to the Republic of South Africa with the objective to strengthen the capacity and understanding of Competent Authorities (Ministries of Environment, Agriculture and Health) in the implementation of the biosafety policy and enforcement of the biosafety law once it is promulgated. The mission was made up of the national coordinating committee of the national biosafety framework project.
