The aim of the project was to undertake Site level Assessment of Governance and Equity (SAGE) and Integrated Management Effectiveness Tool (IMET) trainings for Sehlabathebe National Park (SNP),WDPA ID 7447. The two assessments tools identified interventions for management strategies, how decisions are made, who are the actors to influence the decisions, and the responsibilities and accountability of the authority. The assessments were conducted to identify priority actions needed on governance and management effectiveness, strengthen relationships with relevant stakeholders and improve conservation and management of the PCA.

 

Trainings on assessment tools SAGE were conducted in December 2021, 20 targeted people including 7 assistant facilitators were trained. Trainings on Integrated Management Effectiveness Tool (IMET) was conducted in February 2022. The training assessments were completed as planned and results analysed.
